Strong Finish After Mid-Race Challenge Suya Liu's performance in the 2026 Bay to Breakers showed a consistent start, with initial splits of 11:26 and 12:59 minutes per mile, placing 214th in her division. The steep incline at Hayes Hill slowed her with a 19:15 pace for mile 3. While mile 4 saw a substantial increase in split time to 23:07, resulting in movement to 416th in division, the challenging terrain was a likely factor. The latter part of the race illustrated Suya's resilience, with her pace improving from 29:52 in mile 5 to strong final push of 10:45 in the last stretch.
