Consistent Endurance and Strong Finish Van Hoang started the race with a steady pace of 13:12 min/mile, maintaining solid momentum in the early stages. Hayes Hill, beginning at 2.2 miles, resulted in a slower split of 18:13 min/mile, impacting the average pace early. However, by the third mile, Van improved significantly, completing it in 15:11 min/mile, which is almost a whole minute faster than the previous mile. In the latter part of the race, from mile 5 to the finish, Van's performance notably improved with a strong surge. The last mile was particularly impressive with a 12:07 min/mile split, demonstrating an excellent ability to conserve energy and finish strong. Overall, Van completed the 12K in 1:48:04, showing a consistent effort throughout the race. Focusing on uphill sections could enhance future performances, as Van showed the capacity to recover well post-Hayes Hill. Keep up the strong finishes!
