Consistent Steady Pace with a Resurgent Finish Claudia Gaska participated in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, representing Team UCSF. Throughout the race, she maintained a consistent pace and displayed a strong finish. Her splits show consistency, with the first mile clocking in at 19:43 min/mile, and a steadier pace in the middle segments, despite the challenge of Hayes Hill between 2.2 and 2.7 miles. Notably, her 6th mile was completed at a quicker split pace of 21:46 min/mile after a slower segment during the hill climb. Claudia completed the race in 3:13:54, with an elapsed pace of 26:01 min/mile. Her performance remained steady, showing resilience as she moved up in her division, improving from 2241 to 2262 post-hill, before finishing 2897th in the F30-39 division. Continued focus on maintaining faster post-hill segments will further benefit her in future races. Great job on keeping up the effort throughout the course!
