Impressive Start and Consistency Weston Strum delivered a strong performance at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, particularly with his impressive early splits. He began with a remarkable first mile at a 4:55 pace, holding the top spot across all categories. Even on the challenging Hayes Hill section, his performance remained resilient, evident from his split times of 5:41 and 5:46 in the third and fourth miles. Strum maintained a commendable average pace of 5:17 per mile over the 7.45-mile course, concluding the race in a time of 39:26. His ability to regain his pace after the third mile and stay competitive is noteworthy.
