Consistent Pace with Strong Start Weston Strum executed a commendable performance at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, maintaining a strong and consistent pace throughout. Kicking off the race with an impressive 4:55 split, Weston secured the 1st position across several categories early on. The second mile showed a slight pace decrease to 5:09, yet his standing remained first. The race then presented a challenge as he reached Hayes Hill, where his pace dropped to 5:41. Its worth noting this is a notoriously steep section. Overall, Weston completed the 7.45-mile race in 39:26, averaging a pace of 5:17 min/mile. He concluded in 7th place overall and within the male category, and 4th in the M30-39 division. Particularly noteworthy was the final mile where he picked up speed with a split of 5:04.
