Steady Progress with Strong Finish Benjamin Armuth showed impressive pacing and consistency throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. After a challenging start with a 34:30 min/mile pace over the initial mile, Benjamin found his rhythm. Importantly, he maintained this pace for the first two miles, finishing them both in 34:30. At the midway point, he began to significantly improve his speed. Mile 3 was completed in 19:57 min/mile, indicating a strong adjustment to the demands of Hayes Hill. The race performance kicked up a notch with Benjamin showing marked improvement in the latter miles. From miles 4 through 6, he consistently quickened his pace down to an impressive 10:05 min/mile by the seventh mile. His overall pace landed at 18:14 min/mile, with an admirable overall standing of 14362 out of 24523 participants. Continued emphasis on segment-wise pacing could aid in further enhancing future race outcomes. Great effort, Benjamin!
