Consistent Recovery and Strong Finish Dipro began the 12K with a strong initial pace of 6:48 min/mile. His early splits were consistent, with the first two miles clocking under 7-minute miles. However, the segment from miles 2 to 3 saw a noticeable drop to a split pace of 8:10 min/mile. Notably, Hayes Hill started around this point. After this challenge, his pace decreased further during mile 4 to 10:52 min/mile, which resulted in a shift in his standing in this timeframe. Encouragingly, miles 5 to the finish highlighted significant improvement, with his pace returning to below 7-minute miles by mile 6. His capacity to recover and finish strong is commendable. Dipro completed the race with an overall time of 57:10, maintaining an average pace of 7:40 min/mile. His performance placed him in the top 3% of participants, highlighting his resilience and determination, especially after Hayes Hill. For future races, maintaining even pacing through all segments could lead to even faster times.
