Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish JD Coyne demonstrated a consistent pace improvement throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. His initial splits reflected a gradual adjustment to the course, starting with 11:43 min/mile in the first mile. The steep Hayes Hill notably affected the second split, which clocked in at 28:48 min/mile. However, JD's resilience was evident as he trimmed his pace with each subsequent mile.
