Consistent Effort with a Strong Finish Matty Hughes participated in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, clocking an overall time of 2:25:42 and an average pace of 19:33 min/mile. Matty's performance was marked by consistent pacing, starting with an 18:33 min/mile for the first mile. Notably, Matty's performance on the challenging Hayes Hill, evidenced by a decrease in pace between miles 2 and 3, showed significant enduranceimproving placement in the F50-59 division from 646th to 588th after the hill. Mattys determination was evident in the final miles, driving the pace down to 18:05 min/mile. Over the course, she managed to improve overall placement, finishing strong in her division. Continued focus on pacing between miles 2 and 3 could further enhance performance.
