Steady Improvement and Strong Finish Rekha Gavini maintained a steady pace throughout the race, showcasing impressive consistency. Starting with a first-mile split of 12:40 min/mile, she gradually increased her speed as the race progressed. Particularly noteworthy was her performance between miles 2 and 3, where she tackled the incline on Hayes Hill with a split of 12:32 min/mile, improving her overall position from 5771 to 3607. Following this, she picked up the pace further in the latter part of the race, with mile 5 and 6 splits of 10:55 min/mile. Rekha's overall finish time was 1:26:49 for the 12K event, averaging an 11:39 min/mile pace. Her final push at mile 7, clocking in at 11:02 min/mile, secured an overall placement of 5047 out of 24386 participants.
