Consistent Performance with Strong Finish Rekha Gavini, representing the Slow Runners Club, completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K with a total time of 1:26:49. Her average pace was 11:39 min/mile across the 7.45-mile race. Notably, her performance improved after the initial mile, as she started with a 12:40 min/mile pace and progressed to paces under 12 minutes from mile five onward. Significant progress was made on the second half of the course. Mile five and six both recorded a time of 10:55 min/mile and positioned Rekha ahead of 273 of her competitors. Her cohesion in split times, particularly during the latter stages, demonstrates well-maintained endurance and strategy.
