Resilience and Strong Finish Characterized Race Alana demonstrated a strong race strategy, showcased through a consistent improvement in her split times following the Hayes Hill segment. Notably, she ran a 9:53 mile in the final mile, marking her fastest split of the race. This strong finish is an indicator of effective energy management and endurance in the latter stages of the event. Despite encountering the challenging Hayes Hill between the second and third mile, which significantly impacted her pace, Alana showed resilience by improving her divisional rank from 300 to 168 during the third split. Post-hill, her performance stabilized, and she gradually climbed in her division. Her overall time of 1:27:14, with an average pace of 11:42 minutes per mile, highlights her capacity to push through difficult terrain and recover effectively.
