Progressive Pacing Across the Course During the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, Hanuchandra Donavalli showed a notable progression in pacing as the race advanced. Starting with a pace of 11:50 min/mile in the first mile, Hanuchandra faced Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7, affecting splits for miles 2 and 3, which were recorded at 16:16 and 16:51 min/mile, respectively. Despite the slowdown, Hanuchandra regained momentum subsequently, improving the pace to 13:06 min/mile by mile 6.
