Maintained Consistency with Strong Finishes Lorretta Witten showcased a consistent pace throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 15K Breakers Bonus event. Beginning with a 10:17 min/mile pace for the first mile, she maintained pacing around 10:16 to 10:50 min/mile until the fifth mile, demonstrating stability in her performance. Notably, there was a slight slowdown during the third mile (11:29 min/mile), coinciding with Hayes Hill, yet she quickly recovered. Her efforts allowed her to improve her division placement from 38th to 36th by the third mile. Lorretta's final miles showed a remarkable finish; she accelerated impressively in the sixth mile with a 9:26 min/mile pace and also achieved a similar resurgence in the ninth mile at a 9:18 min/mile pace. Overall, she maintained a 10:30 min/mile pace, completing the race in 1:36:53.
