Starting with a strong first mile at a pace of 20:53 min/mile, Mason adjusted through the challenging sections, including Hayes Hill, where the pace varied slightly. Notably, from miles 3 to 7, Mason stabilized her pace with splits consistently around the 29-minute mark, demonstrating a steady effort and control. Mason completed the race with an overall elapsed time of 3:18:11 for the 7.45-mile course, achieving an average pace of 26:36 min/mile. Her overall placement was 1428 out of 1839 participants, and she ranked 720 among female competitors. Maintaining a consistent pace across various splits, especially on uphill segments, suggests Mason's excellent pacing strategy.
