Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Bridget Blum from San Francisco demonstrated impressive consistency during the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race. Notably, Bridget maintained a strong pace from the start, clocking her first two miles at a quick 6:12 min/mile. Her overall race pace averaged at 6:19 min/mile, with an exceptional surge in the final mile, where she registered a split of 5:59 min/mile. This strong final mile shows incredible endurance and a fantastic finishing strategy, placing her 6th in the highly competitive F30-39 division. Despite experiencing a slight slowdown ascending Hayes Hill between miles 2 and 3, Bridget quickly regained her momentum.
