Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Cheryl demonstrated a solid and steady pace throughout the 12K Bay to Breakers event, completing the race in 1:41:40 with an average pace of 13:38 min/mile. Initially starting strong with a split pace of 12:24 min/mile for the first mile, Cheryl maintained a consistent effort. The steep segment between miles 2.2 and 2.7, particularly affected the split time to 16:15 min/mile by mile 3. Despite this challenge, Cheryl managed to improve her pace as the race progressed. Notable achievements include a significant gain in overall position, moving up 1,577 places from mile 3 to mile 4. Furthermore, Cheryl's split pace improved impressively in the latter part of the race, with mile 7 reflecting a split pace of 12:38 min/mile. This display of endurance and a strong finish indicates Cheryl's potential for future races. Focusing on maintaining her pace during climbing sections could enhance her overall performance even more.
