Progressive Pace Recovery after Hayes Hill Jeffrey showed a commendable performance at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K event, completing the course with a total time of 1:18:12. He managed an average pace of 10:29 min/mile across the 7.45-mile distance. His pacing showcased strategic recovery, especially after the challenging third mile featuring Hayes Hill. Despite the complexity that potentially affected many, his pace significantly improved as the race progressed. Analyzing the splits, Jeffrey started strong with an 11:04 min/mile pace in the first mile. Although encountering a slower third mile at 15:22 min/mile due to Hayes Hill, he quickly rebounded. The subsequent mile saw a significant reduction in pace to 10:00 min/mile, with continual improvement to 8:50 min/mile by the sixth mile. Jeffrey's ability to maintain a strong finish at 7:39 min/mile demonstrates impressive recovery and endurance. Encouraging him to maintain this focused pacing strategy can yield even better results in future races.
