Strong Finish and Steady Progression Kristen Yarbrough maintained a consistent performance throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race. Starting with a 11:28 min/mile pace for the first mile, by the third mile her pace had slowed to 12:08 min/mile when tackling the climb at Hayes Hill. However, her performance improved significantly beyond the 4-mile mark, where her split times began to drop below the starting pace. She hit her fastest split between the 6th and 7th mile with a pace of 9:23 min/mile, a remarkable improvement. Highlighting her efforts, Kristen placed 212th in her division out of a total of 355 participants in the F40-49 category, showcasing determination and stamina. The overall pace of 11:02 min/mile shows a commendable performance across a challenging course, especially with a strong finish in the latter halves of the race. Continuing to work on maintaining that faster pace earlier on could bolster future performances.
