Consistent Improvement Mid-Race Brian Wilmarth, 29, from San Francisco, participated in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. Over the course of 7.45 miles, Brian clocked an overall time of 1:19:19, yielding an average pace of 10:38 min/mile. Starting strong, he maintained a steady pace through mile 4 (11:19 min/mile) despite a slight slowdown at Hayes Hill between miles 2 and 3. At this point, his overall position dipped slightly before recovering in the latter part of the race.
