Steady Improvement Throughout the Race Caleb completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K with an elapsed time of 2:43:42, achieving an average pace of 21:58 min/mile over a distance of 7.45 miles. Initially, Caleb started with a strong pace of 16:25 min/mile for the first mile, placing him 5896th among males. While he experienced a slowdown in the second mile to 32:02 min/mile, he gained momentum as the race progressed. Notably, Caleb appeared to navigate challenging segments with persistence, especially Hayes Hill between 2.2 and 2.7 miles, as shown by an improved split pace from 26:00 min/mile in mile 3 to 23:36 min/mile in mile 4. His final split was 20:19 min/mile. Caleb's placement in the M19 & Under division remained consistently competitive, finishing 381st out of 24386 participants overall, and his team, Hothem's Heroes, can be proud of his effort.
