Consistent Start with Strong Finish Johnny, running for the Visa Fun Runners, participated in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K in a steady manner. His opening miles maintained a consistent 13:45 min/mile pace. Improvements were evident from the third mile, where he quickened to a 13:00 min/mile, climbing Hayes Hill effectively. The 5th mile saw a slight slowdown to 14:52 min/mile, likely challenging but instructive. Significantly, in the latter miles, Johnny displayed excellent pacing strategy. The sixth and seventh miles were clocked at impressive speeds of 9:19 and 9:33 min/mile respectively, marking a robust finish. The overall elapsed time was 1:30:04, resulting in an average pace of 12:05 min/mile. This strategic acceleration improved his division standing to 908 out of 1648. Focusing on maintaining that pace throughout will be an excellent goal for future races. Great job on the strong finish, Johnny!
