Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish Claire Hennessey demonstrated a commendable performance in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, gradually improving her pace, particularly noteworthy in the second half of the race. Initial splits were steady, with paces ranging from 17:45 to 17:15 min/mile in the first three miles. Despite the challenging Hayes Hill segment between 2.2 and 2.7 miles, Claire maintained a consistent position improvement, moving significantly from 13,419th to 9,629th place overall. From mile four onwards, Claire's pace notably improved, peaking at a 10:16 min/mile pace in the final split. This progression highlights her strength in maintaining endurance and increasing speed throughout the race. Ending with a total elapsed time of 1:44:30 and an overall pace of 14:01 min/mile, Claire placed 4,218th out of all female participants and 1,411th in her division.
