Consistent Pacing with a Strong Division Finish Zachary Hine executed a strong performance in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, finishing with an elapsed time of 39:45 and an average pace of 5:20 min/mile. The race started strong with an impressive 5:09 min/mile pace for the first two miles before facing the challenging gradient of Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7. Despite the steep incline, Zachary maintained resilience, completing the third mile in 5:43 and demonstrating excellent pacing throughout the race. His ability to recover and push the pace further was notable, as shown in mile six's split of 5:02 min/mile. Although the overall place was ninth, ranking fifth in the M30-39 division showcases his competitiveness. Continued focus on maintaining the pace up hills could further enhance his results.
