Strong Start Under Challenging Conditions Georgia Gould maintained an impressive pace at the start of the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, with her first two mile splits at 6:40 min/mile. Her initial strong performance had her placed 252nd overall, showcasing her potential early in the race. As the race progressed, Georgia faced Hayes Hill beginning at the 2.2-mile mark, where her pace shifted. A critical area for focus in future races might be split three, which slowed to 7:38 min/mile. Despite these conditions, she completed the race with an overall time of 59:36, achieving an average pace of 8:00 min/mile, and finished in 62nd place within her division. Encouragingly, she showed resilience by maintaining sub-8:00 paces in the latter miles, indicating the ability to recalibrate after challenging segments.
