Consistent Performance with Impressive Division Win Jared Moore from Seattle delivered a strong and consistent performance at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. He completed the race in 38:44, with an impressive average pace of 5:12 min/mile, achieving 4th place overall and 1st in the M30-39 division. His initial splits of 5:04 min/mile over the first two miles indicate an aggressive start. The slowdown to a 5:42 pace in the third mile, coinciding with the steep Hayes Hill section, saw him drop from 2nd to 6th place overall but he quickly recovered. From the 4th mile onwards, Jared regained momentum, finishing strong in the 3rd place overall from the 6th mile onward. Especially notable was his remarkable finish, where he ran the 5th and 6th miles at a 5:23 and 5:02 min/mile pace respectively. This indicates excellent pacing strategy and resilience post-Hayes Hill. Continuing to build on maintaining speed in hilly sections could further enhance overall timing.
