Consistent Start and Strong Finish on Steep Challenge Hunter Garvin completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K with a total time of 3:21:18, covering a distance of 7.45 miles. His overall pace was 27:01 min/mile. Notably, the second mile posed a significant challenge, with a split pace of 20:09 min/mile. The notorious Hayes Hill showed its impact between 2.2 and 2.7 miles, as split paces rose to 32:57 min/mile and 22:28 min/mile around this portion. The uphill challenge contributed to his drop in placement from 11,799 to 14,241 overall. However, he showed resilience, improving his pace significantly in the last mile to 22:25 min/mile, improving his placement back to 14,350.
