Consistent Performance with Mid-Race Challenges Kevin Sheu maintained steady pacing throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, completing the race with an overall time of 1:59:22. Representing Canadian Solar USA, he navigated the course at an average pace of 16:01 min/mile. The initial miles showcased consistent pacing of 15:42 min/mile, before a notable slowdown to 19:21 min/mile in the third mile. This corresponds with the notoriously steep Hayes Hill section between 2.2 and 2.7 miles. Following this challenge, Kevin quickly recovered and regained momentum, with split times of 15:05 min/mile in the fourth and fifth miles. His perseverance through the middle of the race was commendable, although a marginal improvement in hill strategy may further optimize his performance. Kevin attained a respectable placement of 1959 in his M30-39 division. Analyzing pacing strategies and focusing on hill training could enhance future race experiences.
