Consistent Effort with Notable Hill Segment Kevin maintained a steady pace throughout the race, averaging a consistent 16:01 min/mile overall. His initial miles showed strong pacing with consistent splits of 15:42 min/mile for the first two miles, followed by a slight slowing on Hayes Hill, with a split of 19:21 min/mile for the third mile. This hill segment presented a challenge, as it is known for its steep gradient. Despite this, Kevin regained his pace in the subsequent miles, clocking a 15:05 min/mile split for the fourth and fifth miles, which indicates a successful recovery. Impressively, Kevin's final splits of 15:44 min/mile for the last two miles reflect a strong finish. Overall, he placed 12148th out of 24523 participants, showing determination and stamina. Continued focus on hill training could improve performance on challenging sections of courses in future races. As a representative of Canadian Solar USA, Kevin's steady overall performance in the Bay to Breakers 12K is commendable.
