Steady Start, Strong Mid-Run, Slower Finish Brenden started strong with consistent splits below a 9:00 min/mile pace for the first 10 miles. Noticeable improvement appeared around mile 10 with an 8:32 pace, the fastest recorded split time. By mile 12, Brenden capped off a pace of 8:04 min/mile, the fastest split of the race, displaying strong endurance. In the latter half, Brenden's pace became more varied. Between miles 17 to 21, times gradually slowed, with splits ranging from 9:47 to 11:33 min/mile. The trend continued in the final segment where mile 22 onwards saw splits hitting over 12:00 min/mile with a final run ending at 12:49. Finishing the marathon in 4:22:40 with an overall pace of 10:01 min/mile, focus on maintaining that mid-race strength through the finish would be beneficial for future efforts. Keep working on maintaining energy in the final miles to improve your race outcome.
