Consistent Start, Variable Pace Finish Stephen Mcfayden maintained a steady performance in the initial part of the 2025 Boulderthon, holding a consistent pace of 10:35 min/mile for the first two miles. This solid start placed him at 3953rd overall. There's a noticeable variability in pacing in the latter stages, particularly between miles seven and eight, with two of the slowest splits clocking in at 13:18 and 13:19 min/mile. Toward the end, Stephen managed to pick up some speed again, securing a faster split of 9:41 min/mile in the ninth mile. Despite the fluctuations, he completed the half marathon with an overall time of 2:35:52 and an average pace of 11:53 min/mile. For future races, focusing on maintaining a steadier pace throughout the middle and later stages could potentially enhance performance.
