Pacing Consistency with a Mid-Race Challenge Emily Yerman maintained a consistent pace throughout much of the 2025 Boulderthon 10K. She completed the race with an overall time of 1:01:51, averaging a pace of 9:58 min/mile across 6.2 miles. Notably, her pacing had a strong start with mile one at 9:55 min/mile and mile two even slightly faster at 9:34 min/mile. The third mile presented a significant slow down, recording a split time of 19:47, which affected her overall pace. However, Emily promptly recovered in mile four with a split at just 0:38. In her age division (F20-24), she finished 43rd out of the participants. Despite a temporary slowdown, Emily demonstrated resilience by regaining her pace in the final miles, with both the fifth and sixth miles clocking in at 10:03 min/mile. Her ability to identify and overcome a mid-race challenge is commendable. Working on maintaining even splits through the middle parts of the race could positively impact her future performances.
