Negative Split Discipline Fades Late but Finish Time Drops Sharply Noah Durbin ran 4:07:16 at the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon, finishing 373rd among men. That's a 13:30 improvement over his 4:20:46 at the 2023 Boulderthon. Through 18 miles, Durbin was remarkably steady, holding between 8:15 and 8:43 per mile and reaching the 18-mile mark in 2:30:41 an 8:22 average pace for that stretch. The pace eased over miles 19-20 before slowing more through the back stretch, with miles 21-25 falling between 12:02 and 13:25, coinciding with the course passing the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5. He rallied over the final mile, closing in 11:43 to reach downtown Boulder's Pearl Street Mall finish. The first 18 miles stand as the clear strength of this race, a pace consistent enough to build real time in the bank before the closing miles caught up with him.
