Steady Pace Carries Him to a Top-4% Finish He crossed in 3:30:22, placing 111th overall and 98th among men in a field of 3,305. Coming off three previous Boulderthon half marathonseach in the 1:31-1:36 rangethis marked his step up to the full marathon distance, and he handled it with a controlled, patient effort throughout. His opening miles settled into a 7:46-7:53 elapsed pace, and he held that rhythm deep into the race, with cumulative pace still sitting at 7:58/mile through mile 21. Miles 10 and 11 were his fastest of the day, both clocked at 7:33, part of a strong mid-race stretch from miles 9 through 11. The final miles eased slightly to the 8:00-8:13 range as elapsed pace settled to 8:01/mile at the finish.
