Strong Start, Steady Fade Over Boulder's Back Half Annette Char finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:20:09, an average pace of 9:55 per mile. Her race split cleanly into two halves: through the first 15 miles she held a tight band between 8:19 and 9:47 per mile, cumulative pace never drifting past 8:55. From mile 16 onward, per-mile splits loosened into the 10:0013:50 range, pushing her cumulative pace out to 9:56 by the finish, before a final mile at 9:45 pulled it back down slightly. That opening 15-mile stretch stands as the highlight of her day, holding sub-9:00 cumulative pace across terrain that included the course's push out toward Boulder Reservoir.
