Steady Early Miles Give Way to a Tough Final Stretch Kendra Liebert finished in 4:39:28, averaging 10:40 per mile over the full distance. Her race shape tells the story: after a quick opening mile (9:51), she settled into a rhythm in the 9:4510:15 range for nearly 20 miles, holding that pace with little variation through the race's midsection. The wheels came off between miles 21 and 23, where her per-mile splits ballooned to 13:29, 14:16 and 15:45, before she rallied slightly over the final three miles, closing in 11:47 and 9:56. Her sharpest running came from miles 4 through 6, covered in 27:22 roughly 9:07 per mile, the fastest sustained stretch of her day. That surge came as the course wound toward Boulder County's backroads near Boulder Reservoir, all at over 5,000 feet of elevation, before eventually funneling back to the historic finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
