Steady Pace Powers a Podium-Close Marathon Finish Simeon Waldron finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:35:35, placing 140th overall and 121st among men out of the field of 3,305also third in the M50-54 division. His race stayed remarkably even through the first half, holding between 7:40 and 8:11 per mile from mile 1 to mile 12, a stretch that built a strong foundation. A dip near mile 13 was quickly corrected, with mile 15 clocking 7:29, before the pace settled into the high 8:00s through mile 20. The closing miles saw a gradual easing, with splits drifting into the 9:00s by mile 23 as the course pushed toward its final climbs. Still, Waldron crossed the line strong, finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Bouldera fitting cap to a race run at over 5,000 feet of elevation, and a result that speaks to well-managed early pacing.
