Strong Early Pace Fades Over Back Half of the Marathon Pedro Ovalle completed the marathon in 4:35:51, an overall pace of 10:31 per mile. That mark closely echoes his 2025 Boulderthon half marathon pace of 10:23 per mile, showing similar per-mile effort even at double the distance. Ovalle's race opened briskly, with his first six miles clocked between 8:26 and 9:24 per mile the fastest sustained stretch of his day, settling near an 8:48 cumulative pace by mile six. He held a steady 9:109:57 per-mile rhythm through the middle miles before the closing miles slowed into the 1213-minute range. That late stretch included the lululemon Power-Up Zone at mile 22.5 of the marathon course, which runs out past Boulder Reservoir before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall.
