Boulder Veteran Rebounds With a Strong Finish Despite a Late Fade Vanessa Lichtenberg crossed the line in 3:49:57, good for 234th overall and 42nd among women in a field of 3,305. That's slower than her 2024 (3:34:31) and 2025 (3:28:23) Boulderthon marathons, but well ahead of her 2023 result of 4:20:11. Lichtenberg ran a controlled and quick first half, holding paces between 7:35 and 8:00 per mile through mile 12, with elapsed pace never slower than 7:54/mile at that point. Her fastest sustained stretch came from miles 3 through 6, where she covered that span in 22:58, an average of about 7:39/mile. The back half cooled considerably, with mile splits drifting into the 9:0011:00 range by mile 19 onward, including her pass through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5. Even with that late fade, her overall time still reflects the second-fastest marathon of her four Boulderthon appearances.
