Strong Start Fades Late, But Trentham Rallies Home Drew Trentham finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:29:10, placing 97th overall and 87th among men in a field of 3,305. That's a step back from his 2025 Boulderthon finish of 3:22:17, though this year's field was larger. He opened fast, covering the first mile in 6:42 and holding around 7:30-7:40 pace through mile 18, before the effort cost him in the middle miles, where pace slipped to the 8:00-9:30 range between miles 19 and 22. His strongest closing stretch came in the final three miles, where he steadily rebuilt rhythm, moving from an 8:42 split at mile 24 down to 7:50 at the finish. That recovery came just past the lululemon Power-Up Zone, positioned around mile 22.5 on the marathon course, which finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
