Strong Start Fuels a Steady Marathon Finish Jon Rosenthal completed the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:38:54. Through the first ten miles he sat around 8:34-8:43 min/mile pace, holding a top-15 position within the M50-54 division. The middle miles held firm near 9:00 min/mile through mile 16, before the closing miles gradually eased as the race wore on, finishing with an overall elapsed pace of 10:38 min/mile. The first 10K was Rosenthal's strongest stretch, covered in 51:30 for an 8:35 min/mile pace. That early rhythm built a solid foundation for the rest of the course, which carries runners out past Boulder Reservoir before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder all at an elevation over 5,000 feet.
