Steady Start Fuels a Strong Closing Mile in Boulder Carolina Lozano De Taffarelli completed the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:32:24, an average pace of 10:23 per mile across the 26.2-mile course. She built an efficient opening third, holding sub-9:00 mile splits through the first six miles before the pace gradually eased into the double digits over the middle and later miles. Rather than fading through the finish, she closed with her fastest mile in over ten miles a 10:34 split for mile 26, well under the 11:2213:40 range that marked miles 18 through 22 capping the race with a strong final push into downtown Boulder. Her race unfolded at altitude, with Boulder sitting more than 5,000 feet above sea level, adding weight to that steady early pace and the late rally that carried her to the Pearl Street Mall finish.
