Steady Pacing Fuels a Personal-Best Marathon Christine Lee ran 3:44:22 to finish 186th overall and 26th among women in the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon, placing her in the top 10% of the field. The result marks her fastest Boulderthon finish yet, cutting more than 25 minutes off her 2024 time of 4:09:44 and well ahead of her 2023 mark of 5:17:51. Lee's pacing stayed remarkably even across the course, holding between 8:22 and 9:02 per mile for nearly the entire distance with no significant fade in the closing miles. Her strongest stretch came early, covering mile 11 in 7:56, the fastest mile of her race. She carried that rhythm through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5 and on to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall, a fitting close given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet.
