Strong Front Half Anchors Steady Marathon Finish St. John Bowman finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:36:34, an overall pace of 10:33 per mile. Bowman's opening miles were her fastest, clicking off the first six in under 9 minutes each and reaching the 6-mile mark in 52:59 (8:49/mile pace). From there, the pace eased steadily: miles 7-13 settled into the 9:37-10:43 range, and the back half from mile 19 through the finish gradually slowed further, with several miles landing between 11:40 and 13:17. The middle miles, 4 through 6, stood out as her strongest mile-plus stretch, holding an 8:49 average pace before the gradual fade began. The marathon course finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a race run at altitude above 5,000 feet.
