Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Samuel Aden #13668 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles

Fastest Finish Yet on Familiar Ground Samuel Aden crossed the line in 3:21:49, placing 57th overall and 49th among men in the field of 3,305. That result marks his quickest of four Boulderthon marathons, improving on 3:24:42 in 2023, 3:45:21 in 2024, and 3:41:51 in 2025. His race unfolded steadily, holding paces in the 7:157:30 range through the opening miles before easing slightly into the 7:397:54 window between miles 7 and 15. He then found his sharpest form of the day across miles 16 through 20, averaging just over 7:20 per mile, faster than his early-race pace. The closing miles slowed into the 8:009:00 range as fatigue set in, including through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5, before he pushed to the finish in downtown Bouldera course that sits over 5,000 feet in elevation.
