Steady Pace Through Midrace, Strong Closing Kick Sarah Tasci finished in 3:50:18, placing 237th overall and 43rd among women out of the field of 3,305. Her opening miles settled into the 8:20s-8:40s, and from mile 12 through mile 21 she locked into a remarkably even 8:30 per mile, rarely drifting more than a few seconds off that mark. A brief slowdown through miles 22-24 pushed her pace into the 9:30-11:20 range before she rallied over the final two miles, closing with an 8:38 split to finish strong. The steadiest stretch of the day came between miles 15 and 20, where five consecutive splits sat between 8:22 and 8:36 a tight, controlled band that held her overall pace flat at 8:30 per mile for that entire segment. That composure came at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, and carried her out past Boulder Reservoir before the finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
