Steady Pace Sets Up Season-Best Marathon Ryan Oroke finished the marathon in 4:04:44, a decisive improvement over his 5:25:38 result in 2025 and his 4:59:38 finish in 2024. He settled into the low 8:50s per mile through the middle portion of the race, holding that rhythm from roughly mile 6 through mile 18 before easing in the closing miles, finishing with an overall pace of 9:20 per mile. His strongest running came between miles 11 and 12, where he covered the two-mile stretch at an average pace near 8:20 per mile, the quickest sustained segment of his race. He closed on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, the finish shared by every Boulderthon distance, at an elevation topping 5,000 feet.
