Even Pacing Through Two-Thirds Powers Top 5% Marathon Finish Benjamin Swanson finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:40:44, placing 166th overall and 142nd among men in a field of 3,305. He ran with notable consistency through the race's middle stretch, covering miles 10 through 13 at a combined pace near 8:00 per mile his strongest sustained running of the day. His cumulative pace stayed locked between 8:07 and 8:15 per mile all the way through mile 19, a sign of well-managed early effort, before the final miles slowed into the 9:00s, settling his overall average at 8:25 per mile. Swanson passed the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5 just as his pace eased, part of the marathon's return route from Boulder County's backroads toward downtown.
