Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Finn Markey #11189 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles

Fast Start Fuels a Determined Marathon Finish Finn Markey covered the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:08:11, an even effort that unfolded in two distinct halves. His opening eight miles were the highlight of the day, clicking off between 7:17 and 7:36 per mile, a sustained clip through downtown Boulder that put him among the race's early leaders. From there the pace eased steadily, mile by mile, as fatigue set in through the middle and later stages, before he steadied over the final miles to cross the line on the Pearl Street Mall. Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, a backdrop against which Markey's early miles stand out even more. The course carried him out toward Boulder County's backroads before turning back for the finish, a route that tested pacing discipline from start to end.
