Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Joshua Huey #12156 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles

Steady Climb Through the Field Ends in a Top-10% Finish Joshua Huey completed the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:47:16, placing 214th overall and 178th among men out of the field of 3,305. After an 10:40 opening mile, Huey settled into a strong rhythm, cutting his pace toward the 8:00 range by mile five and holding it steady through the middle miles. His fastest mile came between miles 10 and 11, a 7:47 split that pushed him into the race's top 500 at that point. The back half brought some fade near miles 21-23, where splits drifted toward 9:40, before a strong closing mile of 7:54 sealed the finish. The course wound out past Boulder Reservoir before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall, all above 5,000 feet of elevation - a fitting backdrop for a well-managed, evenly built race.
