Steady Pacing Through the Field Nets a Top-10% Finish Lauren Giammona crossed in 3:47:44, placing 221st overall and 37th among womenboth finishes inside the top 10% of the field. Her race built steadily: the first 13 miles held tight in the 8:20s8:30s range, culminating in a 7:55 split at mile 13, her fastest mile of the day. Miles 14 through 23 eased into the 9:009:27 range as the course carried her out past Boulder Reservoir and along the county backroads, before she closed with a strong final surgedropping back to 8:15 over the last mile into the finish on the Pearl Street Mall. That closing push, after nearly ten miles in the high 8s and low 9s, stood out as the sharpest turnaround of the race. Given Boulders elevation above 5,000 feet, the pacing discipline across 26.2 miles reflected well-managed effort from start to finish.
