Steady Effort Through the Back Half of a Boulder Half Edgar Mejia finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 3:26:48. The first miles came in around 12:29 to 13:12 per mile, with pace easing gradually through the middle and later miles settling into the 15:00-17:00 range through the finish. The strongest single-mile stretch came early, miles 1 through 4, holding pace between 12:29 and 13:29 per mile before the gradual slowdown that followed. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, provides a demanding backdrop for that opening pace. The race, like every Boulderthon distance, finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to the effort.
