Strong Front Half Fuels a Personal Best Luke Vidic finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:15:05, improving on his 2023 finish of 4:18:29 by over three minutes despite a larger field this year. Vidic's race was defined by a fast, controlled front half: he covered the first 13 miles in 1:49:13, averaging roughly 8:24 per mile, highlighted by a 7:25 split at mile 13. The back half told a different story, as his pace eased into the 9-12 minute range over the final ten miles, closing with a 9:44 overall pace. That opening effort came on the 2026 course, which cut the marathon's net elevation gain by about 40 percent, from 982 to 603 feet a helpful adjustment that Vidic clearly put to good use in building an early cushion before the finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
